Patricia Nkhono, Nalinkhuli Ward Council- lor in Lilongwe North East Constituency of Traditional Authority Chimutu, admitted that the issue of drug and alcohol abuse as a big one in her area but praised MAG- GA for jostling it down.

I thank MAGGA for the project. At our ADC (Area Development Committee) meeting we have been able to come up with by-laws regarding the same.

“The problem with our youth indulg- ing in drug and alcohol abuse is that they don’t finish school. They drop out along the way.

“[But] MAGGA is helping our girls to concentrate on school by, [for example] inspiring them through study tours where they learn about,” said Nkhono.
