Malawi Girl Guides Association (MAGGA) is a voluntary, non-political, non-religious and self-governing organization for girls and young women (3-39 years) committed to offering them opportunities to develop good character and become responsible and useful citizens of Malawi.:- MAGGA under the Tikwaniritse ndi Kuteteza ma Ufulu a Ana (TiKuMA)Programme seeks to fill four vacant positions. The vision of the programme is that all children enjoy their right to education and are protected through strong community and government systems by 2028. MAGGA is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following positions:
1. Project Coordinator
This position is tenable at MAGGA Secretariat Office in Lilongwe. The key responsibilities of the position include:
✓ At all times perform the duties of Projects Coordinator, for Malawi Girl Guides Association and such other duties assigned from time to time.
✓ Work in liaison with the Monitoring and Evaluation officer to ensure that data for all projects is well collected and reflected in reports
✓ Represent MAGGA at National and District based stakeholder engagements and maintain a positive and cordial relationship with donors and all stakeholders.
✓ Ensure that the operational performance standards of projects are consistent with project indicators and workplans
✓ Participate in the development of annual work plans according to MAGGA strategic plan and programme action plans
✓ Undertake day to day management of Project Officers and ensure that all projects under the programme are running smoothly and according to their workplans
✓ Management of the programme and activity budgets in close collaboration with the finance department and the Programmes Coordinator
✓ Ensure that cordial relationship is being maintained between program staff and volunteers at all the time.
✓ Write and review monthly project reports for submission to the Programmes Coordinator and Ensure that all advance reconciliations by Project Officers are done in time according to MAGGA financial policies
✓ Devote time, attention and ability as may be necessary for the proper performance of Programme Coordinator duties
✓ Faithfully and diligently perform those duties and exercise such powers consistent with them which are from time to time assigned to or vested in the position ✓ Always promote the best interest of MAGGA and the programme
Personal Qualifications And Skills
✓A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from reputable University in one of the followingfields: ECD, Public policy, Political Science, Human rights, Social work, Education, orother relevant technical field.
✓A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar position for a non-governmentalOrganization.
✓Strong knowledge on Child Safe guarding and Child Protection policies
✓Strong analytical and critical thinking skills in the areas of Human rights, Social protectionand
2. Project Officer - 3Position s
This position is tenable at MAGGA District Office in Balaka. The key responsibilities of the position include:
✓The Project Officer shall at all times perform the duties of Project Officer, for MalawiGirl Guides Association and such other duties assigned from time to time.
✓Represent MAGGA at all District based stakeholder engagements and maintain a positiveand cordial relationship with donors and all stakeholders.
✓Lead the planning, implementation, reporting and management of work on project relatedactivities.
✓Oversee all the operational performance standards to be consistent with project indicatorsand workplans
✓Coordinate and participate in the development of annual work plans according to MAGGAstrategic plan and project action plans
✓Supervise and undertake day to day management of District Program staff
✓Management of project and activity budgets in close collaboration with the financedepartment and the Project Coordinator
✓Ensure that cordial relationship is being maintained between program staff and volunteersat District level all the time.
✓Write monthly project reports for submission to the Projects Coordinator and Ensure thatall advance reconciliations at District levels are done in time according to MAGGAfinancial policies
✓Devote time, attention and ability as may be necessary for the proper performance ofProject Officer duties
✓Faithfully and diligently perform those duties and exercise such powers consistent withthem which are from time to time assigned to or vested in the position of Project Officer

Personal Qualifications And Skills
✓A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from reputable University in Social work, or otherrelevant technical field.
✓A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar position for a non-governmentalOrganization.
✓Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
✓Proven attention to detail, follow-through skills, and problem-solving skills.
✓Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads in order to meet deadlines.
✓Candidates with substantial experience in Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (ASRHR) and Gender-Based Violence will have an additional advantage.
3.Project Officer – MEAL
This position is tenable at MAGGA District Office in Balaka. The key responsibilities of the position include:
✓The Project Officer – MEAL shall at all times perform the duties of Project Officerresponsible for Monitoring and evaluation for Malawi Girl Guides Association and suchother duties assigned from time to time.
✓Represent MAGGA at District based stakeholder engagements and maintain a positive andcordial relationship with donors and all stakeholders.
✓In liason with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Ensure that MAGGA social mediapages are updated with relevant information
✓Support in Leading the design and implementation of program M&E framework andinformation systems to track delivery against programme targets, outcomes and impacts,including clearly defined objectives, indicators and implementation of appropriate M&Eprocedures
✓Maintain and update membership data for the project according to MAGGA sections.
✓Prepare and ensure timely submission of projects performance monitoring plans, includingdevelopment and defining program indicators and sources of data, and contribute to annualwork plans, quarterly and annual reports
✓Ensure use of existing evidence to promote improvements, collaboration, adaption, andlearning and identify solutions to promote data-based decision making among program andtechnical staff.
✓Assist MAGGA District Commissioners in updating data relating to their districts
✓Assist in programs delivery through the implementation of different activities andmaximize time in the field to collect relevant data
✓Devote time, attention and ability as may be necessary for the proper performance of MAGGA data base
Personal Qualifications And Skills
✓A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from reputable University in Monitoring andEvaluation, or other relevant technical field.
✓A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar position for a non-governmentalOrganization.
✓Strong knowledge in Monitoring and Evaluation
4.Field Officer
This position is tenable at MAGGA District Office in Balaka. The key responsibilities of the position include:
✓ A Field Officer shall at all times perform the duties of Field Officer for Malawi Girl Guides Association and such other duties assigned from time to time.
✓ Represent MAGGA at all District based stakeholder engagements and maintain a positive and cordial relationship with donors and all stakeholders.
✓ Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly work plans for the District
✓ In liaison with the Project officers, support the development of community driven monitoring, reporting and evaluation at community level
✓ Aid in mentoring support to community structures in making sure that best practices that promote the rights of Children are being followed and promoted
✓ Conduct regular field visits to follow up on interventions carried out by the guide units
✓ In liaison with the Project Officers, mobilize IEC materials for distribution during activities in conjunction with community structures
✓ In liaison with the Project Officers, facilitate quarterly review meetings with district stakeholders
✓ Assist in the provision of relevant capacity development initiatives to communities including the provision of required capacity building to cover identified gaps
✓ In liaison with Project Officers ensure compliance to MAGGA financial procedures and policies are being adhered to pertaining to activities being conducted at field level
✓ Assist in data collection and compilation at District level
✓ Ensure that all projects operational performance standards are consistent with project indicators and workplans
✓ Devote time, attention and ability as may be necessary for the proper performance of Field Officer duties
✓ Faithfully and diligently perform those duties and exercise such powers consistent with them which are from time to time assigned to or vested in the position of Field Officer.
Personal Qualifications And Skills
✓ A minimum of a Diploma from reputable University in Social work, or other relevant technical field those with a degree will have an added advantage
✓ Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
✓ Proven attention to detail, follow-through skills, and problem-solving skills.
✓ Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads in order to meet deadlines.
